Ho lasciato Prato alle 15.00 con 40 gradi circa, arrivato ad Igea Marina alle 18 poco piu vengo subito travolto da un vento anche se umido ma con una temperatura di circa 10 gradi meno.
Prima volta per me al Beky Bay, la spiaggia, il mare, la musica e le piadine, non posso chiedere altro.
Tutto molto accogliente e senza tensione tra il pubblico, non è facile ritrovarsi ad un concerto seduti sulla sabbia o su una sedia in attesa che inizi.
Dj set iniziale con ottima selzione musicale in attesa che entrino sul palco i The Murder Capital
I left Prato at 3 p.m. with about 40 degrees, arrived in Igea Marina at 6 p.m. a little more I am immediately swept away by a wind although humid but with a temperature of about 10 degrees less.
First time for me at the Beky Bay, the beach, the sea, the music and the piadinas, that’s all I can ask for.
All very cozy and no tension among the audience, not easy to find yourself at a concert sitting on the sand or on a chair waiting for it to start.
Initial DJ set with excellent music selections while waiting for The Murder Capital to take the stage.
Il sole scende ed ecco che salgono i The Murder Capital sul palco, subito il pubblico li acclama e la scena si scalda immediatamente, scaletta breve ma con i brani piu importanti dei loro due album.
The sun goes down and here comes The Murder Capital on stage, immediately the audience cheers them on and the stage immediately heats up, short setlist but with the most important songs from their two albums.
Terminato il loro concerto veniamo accompagnati con in sottofondo il nuovo album dei Queen of the Stone Age, finalmente dopo qualche brano salgono sul palco gli IDLES.
Un mare di gente si stritola sotta al palco appena inizia il primo brano mentre il chitarrista Lee Kiernan si getta all’istante sul pubblico contiuando a suonare la chitarra.
tutto regolare, ed è appena iniziato!
Il vento ha smesso di soffiare e sotto al palco si raggiungono temperature da sauna mentre il frontman Joe Talbot continua a cantare e a saltare sul palco chiedendo alla sicurezza di stare sotto al palco e di non infastidire i ragazzi che stanno facendo Crowd Surfing.
Mark Bowen, altro chitarrista, lo si riconosce sempre grazie alle camicie da notte da donna, anche lui agitatissimo e inarrestabile tra chitarra e tastiere/synth.
alla batteria il pazzo instancabile di Jon Beavis, che insieme al bassista Adam Devonshire hanno sincronizzato gli orologi e in ogni brano hanno spaccato il millesimo di secondo.
Li seguo sin dal primo album (Brutalism) e non pensavo che dal vivo riuscissero a tenere una qualità e perfezione musicale a quei livelli.
Il pubblico non ha avuto tregua per 90 minuti, il timer sul palco e’ servito per non andare oltre la mezzanotte.
Peccato non averli visti anche a Milano a marzo 2022, concerto annullato e posticipato a data per me non disponibile, sarebbe stato un’ottimo bis.
GRAZIE IDLES, CI RIVEDREMO PRESTO!
After their concert is over we are accompanied with the new Queen of the Stone Age album playing in the background, finally after a few songs IDLES take the stage.
A sea of people squeeze under the stage as soon as the first song starts while guitarist Lee Kiernan instantly throws himself on the audience contiuously playing guitar.
all smooth, and it’s just begun!
The wind has stopped blowing and sauna-like temperatures are reached under the stage as frontman Joe Talbot continues to sing and jump around the stage asking security to stay under the stage and not bother the guys who are Crowd Surfing.
Mark Bowen, another guitarist, you can always recognize him by his women’s nightgowns, also fidgety and unstoppable between guitar and keyboards/synth.
On drums, the tireless madman Jon Beavis, who along with bassist Adam Devonshire synchronized the clocks and on every track they cracked the thousandth of a second.
I’ve been following them since their first album (Brutalism), and I didn’t think they could hold musical quality and perfection at that level live.
The audience had no respite for 90 minutes, the onstage timer served not to go past midnight.
Too bad we didn’t see them also in Milan in March 2022, concert cancelled and postponed to date not available for me, would have been a great encore.
